The front of each petal is coated with a UV resistant, water proof final coat. The back sides of the petals are painted metallic gold. Earwires are 14K Gold-filled
The petals themselves are very lightweight and are also somewhat flexible. They are more flexible in warmer temperatures and less flexible in colder temperatures
